Let’s talk about our Christmas and New Year, shall we? We had a lovely holiday. Randy, the boys and I headed out the Saturday before Christmas, traveling to Fayetteville, Arkansas. While there, we met up with Charlotte and Christian. The 6 of us spent the next 24 hours visiting, eating, eating and eating! We also had a lovely visit and dinner with my brother and his two children. My niece and my youngest son also managed to go to see the Nutcracker, performed by the Moscow Ballet Company. Yep, we did a lot in 24 hours. OH and we met with the contractor to discuss the renovations on the house. Here are some of the befores:
I don’t know why we are renovating as it looks fine to me!
After we had eaten at Jose’s and Hugo’s we headed to MJ’s house for a night of crowded and noisy sleeping. Next morning, we headed to eat (yes again) at Emilia’s before we headed over to Big Cedar Lodge for Christmas. The weather was okay and at times a bit gloomy. In other words, the weather was perfect for hanging out and doing very little else. Here are a few views from our balcony of the lake:
We also had a lovely, decorated Christmas tree in the unit:
There were two or three presents under that tree. With that few gifts to wrap, we went the recycled paper route. Randy and I did stencil on some cute snowflakes with Sharpies.
Well, now on to the New Year! Randy, the boys and I went to a Thunder game. They won’t ever let me in again. Here are the pictures:
The reason I won’t be allowed in going forward is because not only did the Thunder lose, but Kevin Durant was ejected from the game. Remember, I was THAT CHILD! Happy 2013.
Later this week we can talk about my word for 2013, CHANGE, and what it means to me. In the meantime, what are you focusing on this year?

I found your blog through a post you left on La Dolce Vita. I just started a new series on my blog highlighting American made fashion pieces. http://jax-and-jewels.blogspot.com/2013/01/american-woman.html
I love your house!
Thank you, me too!
I’m just looking forward to seeing some pictures of your home as they are working on it and when it is done. It’s going to look awesome!
I sure hope it turns out wonderful.
Lovin that house! You are right, it is really great the way it is, but I have to admit to lends itself to some seriously awesome decorating that will make it a really warm and welcoming home!!
Yep, I cannot wait. We have already bought gorgeous light fixtures (that I will post when I get a picture) and some screen porch furniture. So ready for them to start.
Thank you for your comment!
